why life is not still

Life Is Not Still is crafted from a simple truth
We come from one source — expressed as nature, revealed through movement.
In a world increasingly disconnected from source, poisoned by convenience, and driven by false speed — I wanted to remember, and help others remember, that health, longevity, and presence are our birthright.
I’ve spent my life at the intersection of past and future — in archaeology, in tech, in land. But it’s not about credentials. It’s about caring deeply enough to act.
I’m Michael Ashley. I live in Italy with my family, surrounded by ancestral landscapes and wild possibility. This work — this field — is how I choose to contribute.
Life Is Not Still is how we bring this care into form.
It’s a consultancy — but more than that, it’s a field: a space for reimagining what it means to live well, to align with nature’s intelligence, and to build systems that nourish rather than extract.
At Life Is Not Still, we help people and projects clarify their potential — to reconnect with what wants to emerge, and to bring it into coherence.
Whether supporting the regeneration of a rural village in Abruzzo, or building a consortium around sustainable, bio-available nourishment, we work to align with nature. To reduce interference. To reveal what’s already there.
If you’re building something alive — a company, a community, a regenerative vision — and you’re feeling the pull to ground it in presence and coherence, I’d love to be in conversation.
